Remember… We started on the top and got thrown on the bottom, On the East Coast our folks struggled through the problems. They never had a chance to teach what their parents taught’em. Too busy getting beat by the Nuns and the Priests, on their knees in the middle of the night, I always think about’em. A slow torcher for my people, we were walked on like streets. Forced to eat the lies you fed about your beliefs. Truth be said, your genocide still affects me, Cause I’m still at war every day with this country! The hydro dams and hydro lines they ruined our maps, Left us on swamp lands, like animals trapped. Destruction came with the train and the iron track, It took a long time for us to find our way back. Now you got your oily black snake creeping through our lands, Controlled by your government’s men and their greedy little hands! A hundred-thousand warriors unit, to take a stand. Like a rock and to crush all your plans! You can take your bright lights and flash’em at me! And sound in some back-up AND their dogs! You’re gonna need, The army to save your life, you better believe! You’re not safe on my land, you better retreat. In the middle of the day we lost a life, Another woman slaughtered! My girl left without a trace, the wrong race… you’ll never notice me. In a room all alone and tied up…gasping to breathe. The big story on the news, will probably read “another woman’s body found, without any leads”. That the killer left without a trace, a cold case, an empty space, We wont forget about her! NO MORE… we’re sick of your deceptions. I’m sorting through your lies and teaching kids lessons. On how you took the time to kill us with your sickening infections. Your genocide and homicide will haunt your history sessions. My Parent’s pain will not go without World’s attention, My Ladies lost lives, will have soul’s resting. They raped our children, killed our mother, brainwashed our brother, Given tags that are numbered, to keep control of their systematic, slow smother. Taking land, taking food, taking life, took a husband from his wife. Cut their hair with a knife, burned their souls, stole their rights. It’s hard to sleep late at night when you fear for your life! Wait, what’s those words you keep saying to me? Truth and reconciliation! Seriously?? How on Earth can you talk to me about any truth? While your school system constantly brainwashes our youth. Makes us feel like we’re extinct and inferior to you! You better…wake up quick wake up, From all the lies that you make up and make up, Honour the Treaties that you break-up and break-up, Or go back to your own country IN EUROPE! Reconcile with a church pedophile? It’s gonna take a while, for me to smile. With these scars I got, On my skins not as bad, As the ones in my thoughts. Well, I guess I could just forget about it… But every morning on the news…it comes back again.

Rezignation 03:34
People scared to speak about the Rez reality… What? Since when? We’re not even allowed to discuss our opinions. About the Chief and Council and their minions, Too much time wasted that translates to millions, Of dollars spent by the uneducated injuns. Who represent the government’s prisons, And keep us locked up with them. Cause they fear that we can succeed without their controlled freedom. But I can beat’em, And enjoy a life outside of the forced oppressive system. Our people fight to protect the Earth. Meanwhile elected people receive kickbacks to demolish her. Unacceptable dealings to advance their personal worth. Then disguise themselves as a spiritual leaders to create a blur. Sorry to tell you but I’m exposing you sir, And all the lies you like to slur. On the Rez we all know that you only care about your money transfers, Leaving our future generation’s land and possibilities insecure. And thank god we have hip hop, to describe the living conditions we got. From the election parties to the dirty dealing spots, At the Band Office melting pot. Where the crooked snakes slither through the hallways and plot. To benefit their financial gain and attack those who will not, Bow down to a dictatorship, tyranny brainwash. I question Chief and Council’s impartiality and integrity, Their involvement with the resource destruction with the big industry. The off the books transactions from portfolio, individual’s beneficiary. The preferential treatment and punishment of members in the community. People afraid to even talk about the current Rez reality. A far cry, delusional mirage of community unity. You wasted $200 grand of community funds, Abusing political power to attack my loved ones. Wait, hold the phone! I’m not alone in this dismantling of the throne. There’s no helping the fact that you’re failure prone. The folks in Mala know that you’re afraid of the message written in stone. People, follow my lead, Put an end to this selfish greed. Intimidating community members with harassment, indeed, You’ll be remembered as a filthy thief. Like your father, who extorted an individual from the community who was in need. You’re exactly what the government planned, Weak and allowing them access to our land. You’re a government administrator, Taking orders from the Indigenous eliminators. The “good Injuns” trying to balance the financial imprisonator’s, Books and accounts, you government controlled traitor. First Nations impersonator. You’re a bunch of substitutes, Native rights prostitutes, Selling our inherent rights to institutes. You keep the money and people lose, the option to choose. Or even voice their concerns, you’d rather watch our own people burn. Brace yourself, cause pretty soon its your turn…. Watch and learn, watch and see….its over.

I’ll always protect my sacred ground. Idle No More, fucking stand around, While we stand in front to protect what you call you town. The very best pound for pound, Winning this fight round for round. We’ll be here ‘til the end, Singing that Victory sound. I will never be complacent. I said, fuck this shit, I will never be complacent! I’m losing patience, For you coward, empowered, disgraceful, Flatulents. Satisfied with balancing the books for the government, You crooks. Feed your own family while others have no food to cook. Can you see the damage? Look!! At our People’s situation, Their hopes and dreams have been took! While you enjoy your lives, We get shook-off to the sides. And kickbacks you keep in the nook, Of your arm, off the books, Dirty crooks! Never too scared to stand my ground, I’ll always protect my sacred ground. Idle No More, fucking stand around, While we stand and protect what you call your town. The very best pound for pound, Winning this fight round for round. We’ll be here ‘til the end, Singing that Victory sound. And I’m too intense to deliver this message without confidence. My heart, my pride, my soul put into its deliverance. I’m disgusted with the lies spread by this incompetent government. Who’s only interest is self absorbed for their own benefit, Of financial gain and embezzlement. They watch and prey off the weak who pray, To the Creator for the day, Where they can enjoy the same life that the council’s spent. Community funds used like weaponry, Guns to control all the ones who would otherwise stand-up and fight against this establishment Never too scared to stand my ground, I’ll always protect my sacred ground. Idle No More, fucking stand around, While we stand and protect what you call your town. The very best pound for pound, Winning this fight round for round. We’ll be here ‘til the end, Singing that Victory sound. People, afraid to speak about truths of dishonesty. Brought upon them by a Chief and Council dictatorship controversy. An unbalanced tower, Built to devour the lives and thoughts of the community. Destructive intentions on our environment, Backyard, mountains, rivers and oxygen. For your kickbacks, your pockets, monies went. In the wrong place, you’re a disgrace to show your face, After you’ve mistreated your own race! Hate and lies, you perpetuate, to manipulate, Snake followers looking to generate, A piece of the pie to bake, for them to take, like bait, And eat it by mistake. While you orchestrate, The government’s plan, We wont participate!!

about

Q052 – Lateral Violence, an EP by Quentin Condo (alias Q052). The Mi'gmaq musicians' first three tracks depict the reality of living in an Indigenous community fraught with daily social injustice. Q052's intelligent and moving lyrics paired with his militant spirit are set to hip hop in the oldschool style of Cypress Hill or Ice-T in the vein of Rocky Balboa's fighter instinct. A skilful EP produced by Emmanuel Alias from Studio XS Music.

All proceeds will be donated to the Native Women's Association of Canada (NWAC) which deals with a broad spectrum of issues that are affecting Indigenous Women across Turtle Island.
